i might make the move back to abilene, but it won't be no sooner than the fall/winter of next year. i definitely miss TX... not as much as TN, but both are better than SD for sure!!

hmm... i'd call the weather good from Memorial to Labor Days. my car's spent about 7 months each year in the garage (without counting deployment time), whereas in abilene & even pensacola, we still had our weekly suppers/cruises with the club year-round.
that said, SD's got $10 concealed carry permits & no vehicle inspections

Definitely cheaper to live here but... Man I'd LOVE to live in SoCal...
Probably a lot more street racing down here though..
I was worried for a second about all the advice I've read here.
