Default Finally some slow ride dyno numbers

I'm on my phone so I'll get all the specs later but we put my custom tt z on the dyno tonight. Ended up at 742 13 psi on 92 e10 and 1012 19psi on e75ish, but that's std. Weather is sucking right now up here in the dyno room but the uncorrected big number was still 972. Car just fn works. Not a damn issue all night just kept turning it up. The power curve is still very solid looking and I think we could keep going if I had the clutch for it.

The last few pulls I was getting some tire slip so we hat two guys in the trunk. Final glory pull the rxt was not that happy around peak torque but pulled through in the end. Boost control is stable and I had enough fuel on corn which I didn't think it would. So damn pleased with the pile I think it needs a wash LOL.

Yep still my 10 year old junk 383 with Mahle pistons, home ported truck heads and 226 cam. This thing has totally exceeded my expectations. Build thread is here https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...win-turbo.html

Thanks, my engine is like 10.1-10.3:1 SCR so it doesn't really love pump gas. It's perfect on e85. We lowered boost to 15psi so about 850 825 or so, it rips.

Thanks Chris. I will update this thread more when I get the dyno files and do some better overlays to view the curves. With e85 in the car we would pull move timing around and literally watch each graph change in those spots. It was a fun night as we were up to 2 with a bunch of friends.

Thanks. Just so everyone looking for exhausts know this was through my old hacked up LG Big Three. The combo is so Damn quite except around 1300-1600. With stock gears it's a little much on the 2 lane backroads. At WOT nobody would know you are on it.

Here are a few more pictures from the day. Mad tark yo

Looking good. Planning to turn it up any higher? Which injectors and what was the max duty cycle on the corn?

I would, but it appears the RXT doesn't want anymore of that massive torque spike. I bet it would take it with a slower ramp in. We were in the mid 80's on DC but need to check the last logs. Boost drops up top so that helps some so I guess more like 18psi at redline. These are FIClinic 1100's (3 bar) on a 60 psi base so sort of like the other 127s etc. We really don't get e85 anymore so more like e70-75 which helps stretch the fuel some. They run/tune easy. I was not logging fuel pressure, but will in the future. The car didn't need any extra DC to keep up so I assume FP was solid or very close. I think we are close to the limits on everything though.

I am a little worried about the block at this point. It's my stock ls6 that's .005" over and the dyno is one thing but in higher gears it might give. Who knows, but if I try it it will be in the fall so it's not down all summer. I told myself to stop at 15 psi this time and look where that got me. Thanks again I can't wait to see some of the upcoming builds you guys have to finish.

I built it to fix my NA setup back in 2006 and has about 15k on it. Ended up making 501whp on the old 243 CNC heads and larger cam. 383 eagle crank, compstar rods and Mahle pistons. Extra clearance in the bore and arp studs on top and bottom. I would have done it different at this time, but I had it so use it right. Heads are 317s I ported and set up with BTR springs and a baby 226 lxl lobe. Ethanol is good fuel and probably helps a lot, but I worry most about the Pistons/block.

If the block pukes, I'll sell you mine and then I can invest in a 408

Gotcha, yeah you've got to be close to the limit of that. Hopefully that fuel helps keep it together for a while

That's not quite as bad as the LT1 I built years ago. Pressure washed the block in the driveway, re-used the rings and half of the bearings, lol. Ran great and didn't burn any oil though. Survived a supercharger and a total lack of tuning knowledge.
