Bolt on 03 C5Z with a 150 shot
I have done some research here and LS1tech and want to get some feedback from those that are/have/best bud that is doing it. Just an occasional pull( I know, I know lol) Bolt on car 390/376 52K. Seems 100 shot is a no brainer but 150 yah or nay with 93 and stock fuel system set up. Thanks

Start with 100 and go up from there. Just make sure the tune/plugs are good and you'll be fine. I'd also watch fuel pressure around 150 shot cause you'll be close to maxing out the stock fuel system.
Let me know if you need anything.

I have a budget of 1400-1500. This thing will get sprayed sparingly but I don't want to cut corners. I am researching different vendors and looking for the best bang for the buck...just like most should do. Can you PM me what you think works best for me please? TIA Ken

Normally, your stock fuel pump is good for 150HP over STOCK, so any modifications you've done will affect the available fuel supply. What intake/TB are you using?

I've sparyed a 100 on a bolt on car and all was fine. In my opinion, with no hard data to back it up, if I wanted to spray 150 or more, I'd use a stand alone fuel system. It just seems to me that it would be a better way to deliver the shot.

Nitrous is a fine line on a stock block engine.
I never advise to play near the edge of what it can "handle"
There is very little room for error as the nitrous is such an instant power addition and can be very hard on parts. (ask me how I know)
I would stick with 100 shot, get a tune and call it a day.
I personally prefer a centrifugal supercharger on the C5.
Have fun

With the right controller and all the saftey switches tied in. Nitrous can be a fun and safe experience. The tune and lack of knowledge is what kills a motor on nitrous.

Ran a 250 hit on a plate on a stock bottom end for years with no issues. It all comes down to the tune. Nitrous is not as dangerous as Hollywood and the internet has made it out to be.
