I will lean on you for some info when I get closer, you have a lot of time in yours. Glad to hear I have a good converter in the car.
Yeah no problem. That's actually my trans tune in that car as well...

That converter locks up hard. Unlocked it was a little loose for me at 850 rwhp-ish... I ran 9.30@146, 1.36 60' with that converter. I pulled it and was gonna send it to coan to be tightened and they wanted to sell me another converter so, I went a different route. But that coan was KILLER quality. For 700-750hp I think its perfect.

Heck yea. Glad to hear all of that.

I am rewiring the interior of the car after the stereo equipment removal and adding more controls.

Yes sir, I had to dig through my old *** thread to find the part numbers you gave me.

Those converters just blew up.

Got the 2.5" V-bands for the exhaust with a quickness, nice quality for $15 each.

Worked through the kinks of the exhaust and got everything installed.

Picked up these 3" to 2.5" transitions to mate to the factory mufflers.

Buttoned up the topside minus the alternator and some other wiring.

Moving on into the interior......

Getting closer everyday. Been waiting on the cradle to ship from ECS for 3 weeks. I have just about buttoned up the engine bay besides all the new hard piping and covering the power wire for the alternator with loom. Going to find a set of fuel rail covers to see if they will go back on.

Sold the black OEM wheels, as I wanted a set of charcoal OEMs and came across these off of a 5800 mile 04Z. Spent some time cleaning them back up. They are like new, it is insane.

I have a set of Nittos that I will throw on them next week.

Nice! Those will look much better then the black with the EB.

You might look at the Toyo TQ drag radials. They make a 315/35/18 that fits KILLER on the stock wheels, it's a tad taller. It drives better then the Nittos and seems to hook better.. And best of all you can find them for $250 each. I love them for a daily tire.

I think so too.

I am wanting a 28" tire that I can just drive on. Thinking a 295/45 NT555 to match my front 275/40.

The 315/35/18 Toyo TQ is 26.75" tall.. It's about perfect for 3.42s. Helps keep the converter a little tighter around town. Looks perfect on the car if it's 3/4-1" lower.

Unfortunately they don't make them 19s or I would be putting them on my new wheels. They are great all around tires.

Much appreciated as usual Alan. You always have great insight. I traded for a set of 275/60/15 for the Weld RTS. I need a tire that will be good for just driving, and I really like the NT555.

I have the NT555 on the front and it's been a great tire. I'm not sure if they make a size we can use for the rear tho. I never looked for one, they are good tires tho for DDing

Yup. I am going to try the 295/45/18 as it is almost the same height as the 275/60/15. 28" tire.

New front tires arrived today, got the shop to put them on. Rears should be here Thursday AM I am hoping. These wheels are in perfect shape, minus a couple little bruises.

Going to hang the new gauges and pod tonight. Just finished the oil change.

Got the gauges wired up(have to connect power) and installed. This pod did not fit the car well at all but I made it work.

Started with this:

Ended like this:

Still have a lot of clean up to do.

It's looking good. What wire are you tapping into for the light dimming for the gauges?

Thank you sir.

I am just going to snag a parking light circuit, as I know how finicky the dimming circuit is.

Worked late into the night and got a significant portion done. I will say it is alive.

This was the transmission controller wiring underneath the passenger seat:

This is what I did. Everything was cut trimmed and loomed, then tucked in properly.

Got the ALKY control and vacuum block all finished up and tied back.

Also the replacement cradle from ECS arrived:

Called it quits about then:

Headed to fab work next week.

Thank you. I can't take wiring messes. And I fixed it.

I just have to get some stuff sorted now.
