A/C will need a custom manifold in the passenger side for the compressor.

I did that on my setup but I'm now thinking about redoing the manifolds since the plugs are very hard to get to and the wires keep burning.

You should look at CTS-V valve covers/with plug wires.

Awesome thread.

The S480 turbo, T-6 1.32 96mm turbine? What using the stock computer or something else for fuel management.

How quick does the turbo spool-up? Is it a decent turbo for the street? I have a S476/83mm T-4 (0.90/1.1 housing), but its cast impeller.

Where did you put the external wastegate? Is it a 50mm gate?

What rods did you use in the LS7 engine build? Wow an LS7 is one wicked engine. Best of luck buddy.

hey guys here couple pics of my new rear tire setup
18x12.5 vs 16x10

305 35 18 vs 315 45 16

i told myself i wasn't spending money on tires before the car made power lol . i came across a good deal on the 315s it was hard to pass up . hoping they dont rub too bad . the car will need to be raised up a bit in the back .

the latest update on the turbo setup is that its 97% done . only have two pipes to fab up for the down pipe . hoping to see the dyno sometime this month .

This^ I love the wheels. They satin black with gloss black lip? I'm curious how much they will rub with that tire

Also what's the front wheel size and tire setup?

Cool build but I would be very concerned about those pipes running under the steering rack like that. That is a ton of heat in a not so good place.....

ive seen very simular builds as mine and it has not been an issue yet.
people do have issues with too much heat under the hood .i think my setup should be fine . time will tell kinda hard to change the game plan now lol

I would just get the hot pipes ceramic coated and then wrap with that header wrap. If its still hot, put in a heat shield.

The old days we would just use some asbestos

Those tires look wicked.

Where did you put the wastegate? Some of the industrial garrett 80mm have internals gates GTA turbos or use could use a K-31 turbo.

Hey guys here is the latest update
We finally made it to the dyno today
After fighting with my boost controller for an hour we came to a conclusion
I didn't wire it up right lol . We decided to make some pulls on gate only

The most we could get is 10psi we ended up with 745whp 800trq.
This was on pump and meth 91 cot and 14degrees timing
Also it was full boost at 3500rpm
I'm very happy with the first outing .hoping to head back in a couple weeks

Nice results. Makes me want to go with a cam swap. I've got an E85 dyno date next week, providing I get my trans back from the builder.

Here a fresh dyno sheet . Overall pretty happy with the results . I knew we would run into issues. Nothing big so far

15 psi dropping to 10psi at 5000rpm Looks promising so far. Ran into injector scaling issues . Hoping to be back on the rollers this week . tuner wants fresh plugs before we
push for any more
this is on pump fuel 91 oct and 100%meth .timing was also conservative @ 14 degrees
