bend the line slightly, grind the corner of the bracket down just a bit, or space your rack forward... are you running a 10 rib?

I just ran into this problem over the weekend. Installing a new rack and that line was in the way. I grinded off a little on the bracket and had to move the line out of the way too. Be careful, I nearly kinked that line closed on my new rack. Yikes.

Its normal.. bending the line is the easiest and take less then 15 seconds to do.. after all, your modifying a car, little things like this will happen all the time so get use to it!!

ISIS SUCKS FAT CHOAD
Over the years it's become clear to me that not all of these steering racks sit in exactly the same spot. With that said, putting a 10 rib balancer on my car was easy for me as I was not required to move the steering rack at all unlike a lot of people.
As for the line, I think the easiest way is as JT said slightly bend it so it clears if you can.
Good luck!

I was also able to get a 10 rib balancer on mine without having to space the rack... I bought the spacer kit just in case but I test fit the rack afterwards and had about 1/4" clearance so I decided not to move the rack... I didn't like the idea of possibly changing the steering geometry and by moving it forward also gives the steering shaft less to grab onto when bolted down... I am able to turn the belt on it's side and slide it between the rack and balancer without much effort

I was able to slide the belt in as wel but I was NOT able to slide the belt between the pulley and the water pump. I had to remove water pump to get the a/c belt on. I hope I don't have issues with that later.

hmmm, there should be plenty or room to slide your belts between the balancer and waterpump and you should not have to remove the waterpump to get an ac belt on... what balancer and waterpump do you have?

yep, I removed my power steering cooler completely... some others choose to move the cooler

you can bypass the cooler with the barbed fitting that is supplied on the C6 kits.
I'd ditch the finned Z06/Z51 PS cooler at a min. for the base version.
I honestly don't know how hot the PS fluid gets bypassing?
