Custom twin project I've been working on
I've kept pretty quiet with my car for a while. Was running 23psi on my old twin 6265 t3 custom kit, and pulled it down about a year ago for some other projects. I've now built 3 kits on it since then fitting T4's next to the block, high enough for gravity drains still. The second kit is what's going on Mr. Blownblue's monster that he's shared some teaser manifold pics of with the billet 6870's and 3.5" downpipes.
Felt in the sharing mood tonight, so I'll kick off a build thread from kit 3's current status. Getting through the little stuff now so I can get all the tanks, piping, manifolds, etc all put for coating. Once back, will be able to start putting stuff on for good.
Cliff notes are:
-Custom 321ss 4-1 manifolds
-T4 billet 6468's with full S cover
-Custom accessory brackets I designed to create clearance for 4" intakes and maintains all accessories. PS to A/C.
-Custom Bell intercooler I designed to not block factory air dam at all. 29x6x4.5" core.
-Haltech elite 2500, with corn sensor, etc.
-honestly, way too much other small details. I'll do my best to keep this updated as I'm able to keep working on it. Got married the end of August, so we're trying to clear out of both houses and get into a new place as well so have a few things on the plate right now
Alright, here's some pics of general layout... enjoy

You can tell there has been some serious attention to detail paid to fit all of this together.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Miss driving my car pretty bad, so REALLY looking forward to getting back on the road. I have some more pictures of stuff done I will share tonight
Sure, but not until we get into a new place. My garage is the last thing to clear out at the house before listing .. Sell mine, buy new place, then sell hers is the plan. New place will have a workshop though
A kit like this would be impossible to do without the end car to make final fitment on. Only way to do is would be offer some of the major pieces and remaining fabrication and fitment done local, or you would need to send the car down.
Thanks, man! Neither can I! Wish I would have gone back to the rollers after getting ignition bugs worked out of last setup... oh well. This will make A LOT more. Poor LQ9...
Thanks! Practically. You would be surprised how easy it is to drop this stuff in place, no doubt clearances are tight though. Can slide 1 piece intake pipes into place with 1 hand in about 5 seconds each. Takes longer to get filter angles to match then install pipes. Width of T4 flanges make the fasteners much easier to get to than T3, etc. I've had this stuff off and on so many times I could do it with my eyes closed. Nothing is hard to get to.

The big thing is the fact you started tilting the turbos just slightly to maximize the space provided. All the other kits would tend to keep everything even. Decent size turbos with large t4 turbine/inlets/downpipes and it's a recipe for making some huge power. This thing is going to test a lot of parts when really pushed hard.

Awesome work!! Can't wait to get mine done.
One day, we can begin offering it to the public.
