Thanks Nick. I can't either. I am getting excited! Event registration starts on the 6th....so at that time, I will be committed to the half mile event. I can't even begin to tell you how much I have been day dreaming about that day...and what I have left to do to get there.

I need to relocate EBCM next, probably just a little more towards the passenger side. Probably the biggest pain in the ***, I will have left to do, hopefully.

Mine hasnt worked for years (pump motors bad), ive been wanting to scrap it and just replace it with "t's". You're right though, that abs manifold is always in the way.

So what oilpan are you using now Jamie?

Yeah I dunno if I would remove completely myself. I drive in occasional rain...even though I do my best to avoid....hard to in Florida certain times of year.

Currently, I run a poopy batwing pan. I wanted a better wet sump pan(perhaps a stock C6) but nothing really on the market that I can find. If I go to dry sump, which is what I want to do,. I would be looking at probably removing AC,...and also a large cost. So, I am on hold on that thought right now. I figure for half mile stuff, the pan should be OK but for a full mile, I think the bat wing would probably be the worst possible thing for it.

What are you running, C6?

I can probably get you the pan for gm cost, the accusump I would need to see if any of my vendors carry that. Contemplated that for years but ended up realizing I probably don't have a TON of room for that either.

What is your engine bay coated with? Looks like heat wrap or carbon fiber or something.

"LAVA MAT" .....and a lot of it. The weave, is all uniform in the same direction too...which took a decent amount of time.

Yessir I do. It was a long weekend for me, lots to get together on the car, so I could bring it back home. I was able to get the car travel ready, unfortunatley everything possible known to man, fought with me to do so. What I found was a LIST of things to fix, before I could even come close to thinking about starting the car, or even making anything more then a rolling chassis.

1)The passenger side radiator outlet/inlet, that we welded a -20 male onto, and then used a Fragola -20 Pushlock 90, sticks out to far, and is not allowing me to bolt in my sway bar. So, I will remove DeWitts radiator, take the -20 male down further(closer) to the radiator, as we do have material we could easily remove, to give us the clearence, so it seems.

2)Driver side WG dump tube. It worked before it was coated...now, somehow, after the jet coating, it must have warped. As my driver side WG dump, will NOT go on. It's almost an inch off....and the pipe is also hitting my brake master cylinder. So...FML.....I either mod the WG dump, or I remote mount, or get a smaller master cylinder. Has anyone done this? I think Wilwood makes a setup....I need to call them. Anyone have a custom setup????

3)EBCM-Without a doubt, needs to be moved. It's now in the way of the larger drain line for turbo....and also in the way for the drivers side radiator outlet/inlet. I can't even attach the drain line on that side at the moment. It's so weird, cause everything worked on the test fit....

4)Modify and finish all new wiring, etc.

5)Add fluids,...clean fuel filters, load tune...start.

Other than those major things that I must figure out,....everything else has to be gone through. Everything on the car is loose.

The good news is, I registered and paid for the half mile event....and I was able to bring the car down here to my work, so I can spend my evenings getting done what I need to.

finally here.

..and the vehicle I am most impressed with. My 07 Z71 Tahoe. It towed the car like a champ....80-85mph and a 1/4 tank of fuel only....trans temps at 178. Couldn't be happier with my rig.

I'm pretty sure you saw the mods that jds99 did to a oil pan.
People have used this with succes on 4th gens.

Are you worried about pumping the pan dry or the Gs?

I didn't see that post(jds99 oil pan) but I have seen the improved racing baffles back at a couple of shows(PRI+disney) and thought they had a lot of cool stuff. Do they make a setup for C5 or C6? Link to jds99's mods hommie!!!

edit: I saw his build.

Oh,..yes...worried about pumping pan dry on long sprints. A half mile sprint, I think I am ok....a 1 mile sprint....likely, not so much.

..actually, mounts at a 45 degree with that bolt pattern...so...I'd need the booster to, if that would even work.

Do you have any mods to help the oil get back to the pan or to send as much oil up top? I just commented in your other thread about switching boosters.
