Since I had some downtime, went in this past Saturday and redid my coolant setup again. Smoke tested everything, no leaks...vacuum tested, held vac...and it accepted coolant. Cleaned up a few odds and ends wiring...gave it a little front end alignment adjustment, etc. So once my LED headlights come in on Wednesday, I will install those then put the front bumper back on...and schedule for an alignment, and wait on my tuning session.

Will post a pic or two once I clean off the dust. Might even detail the old bucket of bolts. Getting closer to driving it. Need to insure it/register it again.

(awesome avatar dude-love it).

Thanks bro, I appreciate that. Yup over here on the East coast(west palm beach). Haven't made it to Tampa in years! Closest I will be to there anytime soon will be Bradenton and Sebring. Always appreciate a helping wrench hand lol.

Ironically I am looking to hire a technician for our shop as I am overwhelmed with the shop load. So good wrenchers/technicians are hard to find these days! If you know of anyone looking thats local(east side)..please pass their info my way.

The car will stay together J. Just remember to relearn how the car drives when you get to that point.

that viper is BEAST for stock, surprised removing the front splitter improved mph in the 1/2 mile but like 2-3mph, that's "effectively" a gain of maybe 35whp.

Hope so. I don't want to sound cocky but I am ready for this thing. Closest thing I have driven to this power level is a 900plus rwhp nitrous Z06(6 speed) on the bottle and that was a blast(family car so I have driven often). I am sure I will have a learning curve though. I plan to do some "street racing made safe" events which is dig, or roll racing. Ultimately I just wanna drive it again.

Insurance went through on it...insured it for quite a bit and pay under 90per month(NCM insurance). So I am pretty stoked about that.

Ha, nice to see someone was paying attention.

It's one of my boss's cars, who does as many track events as he can(roadcourse). We build all the aero stuff for those cars, so this was our first large adjustable splitter we built for the GEN 5. This is designed for downforce,...it looks like it must have been adding a couple hundred pounds at least, to gain that much on the big end when removed. I DID get my shifts down better which I am sure helped mph a hair but, probably not as much as the removal of the splitter picked up.;

I have defiently fell in love with the vipers though. It's hard not to if you like RWD and manuals. It is a BEAST. I think we'll get an ACR here soon....which should fit in well with the other 6 vipers he owns , lol. He(my boss) keeps telling me how bad I need one.... maybe one day. They're a blast....just tiny fuel tanks, which makes road trips suck due to the frequent fuel stops.

Will do smoove. I am a vet, so 2/3rds of our wrenching time would be spent drinking beer and shooting in the back yard

Other 1/2 (military math) would be spent complaining why we can't finish on time...

Sounds like we'd get along all too well. At least. 60% of the time, all the time.

THANK YOU BRO!

Will definitely give you a shout. Hopefully by the weekend the car will be street ready. I've got the drag radials mounted already... I don't wanna chew the new R888s up on the dyno. Hopefully I'll be giving you a shout real soon Mike.
