Default Clutch for A&A C5

I keep breaking drivetrain parts in my 9SEC CTSV so while im waiting on a CF driveshaft I figured I should take the Vette to the track. Its a 99C5 6speed, A&A standard kit, alky single nozzle meth, shortie headers, cat back, ported throttle body. 550/495. On 5 year old 18" nitto drag tires I ran a best of 11.95@125 today with a 2.2 60'. I was having to come off the line at idol, and not do a big burnout in order for the clutch not to slip. If I did a big burnout and caught a 1.7 60' it wouldn't hold 3rd or 4th gear. Any suggestions on clutches? I see I could get a c6 Z06 one CHEAP, but for how hard they are to put in im not sure it makes sense to get one only good enough...

That Mantic looks interesting and the price is great. How does it feel vs stock?

Any of those clutches would be a great choice. But just to give you an idea, I ran a LS7 clutch for almost 2 years making 560HP & 500TQ at the wheels until changing things up and making more power. I could get 3 hard runs out of it before it started to get hot. These were all done at 40 rolls in Mexico and a couple of times at the track. If there isn't much difference in price then by all means get one that was mentioned above. I'm on my 3rd clutch now so hopefully it's my last. Just don't do what I did and keep adding more boost and upgrades.

You should consider the RPS carbon twin disc. I run it with a lightweight flywheel and it feels better than stock.
I dont track my car but the HP rating would be no issue with your posted #'s.

Mantic twin, I love it. Race mine, holds up great to a beating. Over 600 wheel on a mustang dyno.

My favorite clutch for boosted builds is hands down the Centerforce DYAD twin disc. Drives like stock in traffic, but you can do rev limiter clutch dumps on it and it says "what else you got", lol It's been my favorite for a few years now and the only one I like to run.
You can even slip the snot out of it and it doesn't mind the heat and will still grab the next gear till the end of the track. Give me a call if you want to order one.
