R888 are on and i can tell that they are less noisy than my kdw2 junk.I mean i shut the radio off did a 6th gear highway cruise and i did not hear anything annoying.
Cannot speak about grip since the temps are still prettt low here
Did not make to the 700whp mark...guess im stuck at 680whp @ 8.5psi on a small V3SI
Already got the 3.6 pulley but afraid to be limited with the base fuel setup(Racetronix hotwire,255lph,BAP and little bit of meth).

I just put 305/30/19 R888s on my car, I do not hear any additional noise at all from them. They do ride pretty stiff and the car is a little louder going over bumps etc but... No mud tire howling like some speak of..
They handle great as well...which was the main reason I bought them. Traction though is not nearly as good as it was with the 18" Toyo Tq drag radials I had on my stock Z06 wheels....I can easily blow the R888s off in 2nd at 65 mph...(800 rwhp or so)... This is probably due more to the fact they are 19s and have no sidewall, and what they do have is very stiff. Also they are a very heavy tire....like 32lbs per tire...
I do like how they drive though and glad I bought them for my daily driver iforged wheels.

Melting Slicks
I use them at 638rwhp, and they darn near dead hook. I can blow them away in 1st or 2nd at low speed if I just instantly mash the throttle down. But, if I give the suspension even a little chance to work instead of mashing my foot to the floor like a loony, they will hook in 1st and 2nd and put full power down and never spin. Great tires, great traction, great handling.
They aren't that noisy, but my exhaust is also very loud. Anyone saying they are worse than Rivals or RE71R's is nuts.

When you had the other toyos were those the proxes tq's? What size? I'm ordering new tires as I will be retuning on more boost for around 700+whp. Right now debating putting the stock front z wheels on the rear and running 275/40/17 back there with skinnies up front.

My other Toyos were the 315/35/18 TQ Drag radials. They hooked much better from a roll then the R888s, and they were considerably lighter. They would still spin from 65 mph rolls at 800 rwhp but it was manageable, definitely better then the R888s. The R888s definitely handle 10X better and are likely better in the rain. To be fair, my R888s are on 19s vs. 18s on the TQ DRs, and the R888s are a good bit shorter.
The R888s ride very stiff (hence why they handle well), the TQ drag radials have a softer ride and a bit more comfortable. Best of all, the TQ drag radials are very cheap at $250 each for a 315/35/18 vs $400 for an R888.

Still waiting for mother nature to bring some warm weather here but, after a good alignment i did get a chance to get to test them during a 72 degree day(still cool a bit).
While letting the suspension settle the 1st was hooking up to 4.5k then began to spin but the 2nd did hook full time no spin.Really happy and yeah the handling/cornering is awesome !!!

The car will be mostly drag/roll raced and has 3.90s in it. How did yours feel on the 315 tq's? Fitment? I'm shooting for 700 on 14lbs and 800 on around 20. That's why I was leaning more towards the 17's and a bigger side wall on the rear. And the TQs are the best priced for sure
Fitment is excellent with the 315/35/18s on the stock 18x10.5 Speedlines. They actually fit/look a little better to me then the R888 305s. They fill the wheel well out better, stick out about 1/4" if you look from the back. They are a bit taller at 26.5" also.
If they made the Toyo TQ in a 19", I'd have them on right now. They handled decent for a drag radial also...definitely better then the Nitto 555Rs, and hooked better.
You really can't beat a Toyo TQ for 600-700hp for a decent all around tire, and they are CHEAP. I'm sure a MT or M&H hook better, but for the money and better all around driveability, the Toyo TQ is pretty killer.
315/35/18 Toyo TQ drag radials:
Before the car had settled the suspension back down:
305/30/19 Toyo R888s:
The 305/30/19s look noticeably shorter but about the same width, but they are also on 11" wheels vs 10.5"s on the TQs.
Side by side:

I would like to chime in with some additional comments on the Toyo Proxes TQs. I'm running them on stock Z rears like aj did. My car's currently getting a couple turbos thrown on so I can only comment on how they were with a stock c5z. I wont get into straight line traction, but I will say they dead hooked in any gear on my car lol. But the ride is so smoooth with these tires. They even handle pretty decent in the twisties. When you enter a corner hard you can definitely feel the sidewall give which feels like the back end kind of starts to slide but once the sidewall settles the tires feel planted. I drive just as hard in the corners on the street with these tires in the rear as I did with my 8 year old Eagle F1 supercars that were on the car before. But at the same time I don't take corners on public roads like I might on a track so Im not going to say they handle just as good when pushed to the limit lol. But I think that goes without saying
