Default Upcoming Supercharger project. Looking for advice about supporting MODs.

Hey. I've currently got a stock '03 c5 coupe that I'm going to be taking to the next level. My goal is to make over 600whp. I'm going to go with an A&A kit however the support mods are where I need some advice. So far my parts list looks as follows...

- A&A v3 Si
- Englandgreen Whiplash 2 Cam Pkg
- ARP Connecting Rod Bolts
- ARP Head Bolts
- Monster Stage 3 Clutch Package
- Mahale Forged Pistons/Rings
- Kooks 1 7/8 Headers
- ECS Trans/Diff Brace
- 17x9.5,18x10.5 c6 z06 wheels w/ Drag Radials on the rear.

Does this setup seem alright? Is it feasible to run stock heads?

So you already have the Pistons and arp hardware installed? I don't see fuel listed anywhere. That is the second most important thing keepin your engine alive behind tuning. Yes stock heads are fine.

Nothing is installed yet. I will be doing all of it all once.

Fuel... How did I forget that lol. Alright I'll add the A&A fuel system upgrade to my list.

Get a good catch can setup, off road pipe for the exhaust, OD crank pulley, Alky control for meth and your good to go! Is this going to be mostly for the street or going to the strip a lot?

It will mostly see street time. But I'm going to take it to the strip every once in a while. Definitely not often though.

You don't need Pistons or the arp hardware. If you are going to do Pistons you might aswell buy a shortblock and sell the stock one or keep it for back up.

- A&A v3 Si - get the Ti Trim, same price. Run a 3.8 inch pulley
- Englandgreen Whiplash 2 Cam Pkg - recommend EnglandGreen Mayhem II cam instead
- ARP Connecting Rod Bolts - not needed at that power level
- ARP Head Bolts - not needed at that power level
- Monster Stage 3 Clutch Package
- Mahale Forged Pistons/Rings - not needed at that power level
- Kooks 1 7/8 Headers - 1 3/4 headers will work just as well at that power level
- ECS Trans/Diff Brace
- 17x9.5,18x10.5 c6 z06 wheels w/ Drag Radials on the rear.

Does this setup seem alright? Add Alky Control Methanol Injection for safety.

Is it feasible to run stock heads? - Stock heads are fine
Here is my take on your list

Alright my new list looks something like this...

- A&A v3 Ti
- Englandgreen Cam PKG
- XS-Power 1 3/4 Headers & X-pipe
- Monster Stage 3 Clutch Kit
- ECS Rear Brace
- A&A High Capacity Fuel System
- AlkyControl Meth Kit
- C6 z06 Wheels w/ Drag Radials

I'll probably throw some rotors, pads, and brake lines in there too.

Do you guys think 700whp would be a pipe dream with this setup?

I think low 600s would be more reasonable.

No, 700 horsepower at the wheels is possible with 243 heads and a manual transmission.

Read his post more closely. He has a base C5, bone stock. No 243 heads. I know 700 is possible with those mods on a ZO6 - I am putting down 709 whp.

I read it.

For what he is looking for spend, adding a set of 243 heads is a drop in the ocean.

My statement still stands. Based on his list, which is what he asked about, 700 would be extremely difficult to achieve, unless he uses a smaller than recommended pulley, and is tuned very aggressively.
