It's working really well so far.. I've had an issue where two of the LED's get stuck "on", so I'm going to email the guy that makes the kit to see if he has any ideas on that one. That's the only issue I've had with it though
One of these days I'm going to pull the projector back out. There are some plastic pieces that kind of "box in" the thing that makes the HUD image (I'm calling it an illuminator because I have no idea what it's actually called). It makes it so if you're looking above or below the illuminator all you see is black.. so I'm thinking if I remove the plastic that does that I'll be able to move the LED's around some and stop it from cutting off the MPH reading like it is now. It's not a huge issue but it is kind of annoying having such a small window to look though. If my eyes are a little bit too high or too low it chops off the top or bottom of the HUD image. I think with some cutting it'll be a lot easier to see..

My C5 had a K40 in it when I bough it back in '06. Finally got around to ripping it out a few weeks ago as it was horribly installed. Was never able to find out much details on it.

I would like to see how it was done, or what not to do.

As far as the OLD K40, just get model # and punch it in a search app, probably find out all the data you need. If that doesn't get you anywhere, send me the info, I will see what I can find through the proper channels.

I don't have it anymore. it went in the trash. I had tried to find some info on it, but Google didn't give me much.
The ONLY thing about the install I liked was that the LEDs were in the cluster.

The LED placement is crucial. We do some cool installs for customers regarding them. It'll make the job obviously a lot more expensive depending on vehicle or where the customer wants them. I truthfully never did much research on K40 or had knowledge of them until I drove several of our shop cars that have the setup. It sold me on them. I later found out we sold them so win win. Also an escort fan since it has saved me more times than I could count. I don't know how people drive without them.

Any updates on the Chippernut unit? I looked on their website a few times, and it always seems to say sold out. Has anyone seen this unit yet? It looks like a similar idea, but smaller, and programmable with Bluetooth wireless. You can also log RPM data to dial in your actual shifting RPM.

Nah haven't had time.. looks like dude did a pretty good job with the setup, I just wish it was in a little smaller package
The good news is that once I started using the tach signal that's included in the bundle of wires going to the factory gauges, I didn't have to add any resistors or anything like that. I literally just connected it and it worked.. so that makes the install easier. I pulled power, ground and tach signal from the harness that connects to the factory gauges, so that made the install a lot easier
I still need to pull it out and do some trimming to the inside of the HUD so that I can see the original HUD display better
Haven't had time and have to re-vamp my fuel system before 1/2 mile in a few weeks

You mean a BAP isn't enough for 13psi of boost?

Yeah I don't really like them either honestly.. but for being sure I can make event I might throw another one on it. Need to just build a real fuel system
If I put together a fuel system I'll probably run E85'ish
