Default Traction on 19" wheels - anyone?

Is anyone getting decent traction with 19" rims?

If so, what tire and sizing?

my car did pretty good on the street with 19x11 ccw's and 305/35/19 nt05r's... I wore those out and have mickey thompson et street s/s on them now in the same size but I haven't really had the chance to lay into those yet due to the weather here lately

Mine does pretty well on the NT05R 305/35/19. I run about 25-27psi on the street. Lasted about 10k miles not too many burnouts lol I got another set but I am curious to se how Neutron likes the ET street SS. I had the ET street 2's on for a very short time in a 295/45/17 and they hooked hard but handling was worse with that big sidewall.

When I look around at the local guys pushing 600... 800+ I see almost exclusively the MT Street S/S in as big as will fit and some sidewall. I may just keep my Z06 wheels, refinish them and slap those tires on them. But I have a jones for the SP500s in 19x10 front and 19x11 rear. If I had flares, I'd got 19x12 or 13 and go to town. I just happen to be in this weird fitment range where 305/30/19 seems to be the best I can aim for with a cornering tire like an R888 or Sport Cup 2 and have any hope of traction when the boost hits.

Yep. On the street no less. Haven't tried the track yet. 305/35-19 Nitto NT05R tires handling over 800 RWHP very VERY nicely.

every setup is different but at 760whp and 740tq I could lay into 19" nt05rs in 3rd gear no problem full traction. With 907whp they will spin a little in 4th sometimes if pavement isn't perfect. I think Nt05r is still probably one of the best streetable tires around but once >800whp forget about traction until 3rd gear when on the street with 19" nt05r. Air them down and heat them up at the track and they do get a lot better though.
