Another Huron Speed Twin Turbo Build!
#184
From the top with the turbos and gate piping on it. Wastegates themselves and downpipes were put on after the torque tube was in.
You would have more room with standard turbos as well. The Gen 2's caused some clearance issues but even with them, I was able to go in through the top with zero issues. it would come up from the bottom just the same.

Results! Who wants results??
Stage 1 of this build has come to an end! Car is up and running and is making great power in its current configuration.
I have had a ton of help along the way from many that i consider good personal friends as well as some really stand up vendors!
With that said, before we get to the Pictures and results I'd like to thank the following people.
Jon @ Huron Speed for bringing such an amazing and capable turbo system to production as well as the awesome customer support.
Mike Van Paris @ The Race Engine Shop in San Diego CA for this bad *** 427 LSX.
Halston Harrist @ H Squared Racing Engines in Houston TX for building me a gorgeous set of Mast heads.
Bret Bradbury @ LS - Performance in Forney TX for the technical support, parts sales, and just being a great friend when I was having one of those "throw this piece of $hit in the garbage" days!
Jon Schroder @ JDS Fab for all the technical support and vision that made this whole thing possible.
Brian Tooley @ Brian Tooley Racing for taking the time to work with Bret and come up with the killer cam that powers this beast.
Jesse Riggle and Jeff Smith @ Late Model Throttle in Waukesha WI for the tuning support and dyno time.
If I missed you, text me and call me an a$$hole. So many people have been involved with this build that it is hard to keep track sometimes.
So the results.. Last night we dialed the car in at 801/780 @ 10psi on 93/Meth and the car performed flawlessly. At first I was a little disappointed with the numbers coming from a 1000whp YSI setup but then my brain caught up and realized that not only is this a 9.3:1 comp engine, but it's also only at 10psi vs the previous setup at 21. Based on that, it's making killer power...
Onto the pictures...
Also, we are not done... Jon @ Huron Speed is shipping me some 16 and 20lb gate springs and we will be hitting the dyno again next weekend! Stay tuned!!
