Camaro: "I told you to run away. He's coming for you now."
Corvette: "Nooooo! Please don't turn me into a parts shelf!"
Haha just kidding. I'm looking forward to watching your build. I'd be in line for one of these if I didn't already have a different turbo setup. This looks like a great kit.

I have a loooong history with that camaro....I bought it the day after I graduated High School back in June of 1997. 1991 Z28 with just about every option available except ABS, leather, and the 350. The car started out with a 305 and 700R4, but I swapped a T56 into it back in 2000. I plan on rebuilding it with my son with the intent for it to be his first car.

That's really cool. Great color btw. I've always loved those cars. Had an '85 WS6 Trans Am with a 305 TPI auto. Wish I'd kept it.
I'm very curious to see how the fitment is with the Huron setup, especially the intake plumbing running over the radiator to feed the turbos. I don't recall seeing that done before and didn't realize there was enough room.

I hope they do fit, let us know. Im doubtful though, the turbo sits very close to the frame, if it fits the blanket will likely be contacting the frame. I plan to get this all up and running for the rest of the season then take it apart this winter and make some minor changes to it as well as have all the hot side coated in a thermal barrier like what Calico or Swaintech offer.

I am hoping to begin the install phase next week, depending on how long it takes to get the block back from being checked out by the machine shop. Just need the cylinders checked out to see if they need to be honed or not to ensure the new rings seal.

So I took yesterday off since I over did it a little in the heat on Tuesday. Engine is now out and I am about to tear it down. Then the block is off to the machine shop to get checked out. Should begin reassembly next week.
Normally I don't pull the front end off to pull the engine, but since I have to do it to install the intercooler, it just made sense to do it before pulling the engine.

Engine is tore down and ready to go to the machine shop tomorrow morning. I will be getting new lifters as half of them failed. Will post pics of them once I clean everything up. Will be sending in the paperwork for a custom grind from BTR tonight.
Yesterday I ordered a Monster LT1-R twin disc that is rated to 1200whp.
Tomorrow my goal is to have the entire nitrous system out.

Dropped the engine block off at the machine shop this morning. There are a few scratches in the cylinder walls he is going to try to hone out. He is going to try not to remove more than .001" since new pistons are not in the budget. I can live with an increase in PTW of .0005.
Now to remove all the nitrous stuff from the car and do a good cleaning in the garage. Going to be ordering 10psi outer springs for the waste gates, this will allow me to work up to either 20psi or 34psi (if I use both springs). Going to start wrapping the turbo manifolds, down pipe, and waste gate pipe this weekend too. It is a shame I will be taking the wrap off this winter so I can have them coated, but such is life lol.

I put this clutch in my car 3 weeks ago... i love it! Drives very very tame in traffic for a clutch rated for this amount of tq. Absolutely no chatter either, and I've TRIED to make it chatter... good choice.

Not much for updates yesterday, spent 5 hours pulling all the old nitrous kit wiring out....I did waaay too good of a job integrating the nitrous wiring in the OEM looms/harnesses....Now I have to go and tape all of the looms back up.
Today I plan to start working on the dual 450 in-tank module.

Yup...that was the SOLE reason I pulled the whole drive train out instead of just the engine....on the bright side, it allows me to upgrade to a -10 fuel supply line lol

Not much to update on today. I spent a good amount of time yesterday working on the custom dual Walbro 450 fuel pump hanger for the early style tanks. I currently have a 95% solution and am waiting on parts to arrive to begin fabrication. The only thing I am still researching is what to use for the bulkhead connector. I could just use 2x C44 bulkhead connectors from Racetronix, but at $50 each there has to be a more cost effective way to do it while just using a single 6 or 7 pin connector. I have emailed a few companies whose products I am looking at to see if they would work in fully submersed 100% Ethanol environment.
I got my cam request back from BTR and am looking at something around 237/247 (low 600 area lift) 120+5 to keep it easy on the valve train while keeping it very streetable. When I call to order it today I am going to ask them about how it will idle....I would rather not have it idle like stock as I do like some lope.
My ECS trans/diff brace (I FINALLY broke down and ordered one) will be here Friday and my Monster LT1-R clutch will be here Monday. I am also expecting another shipment from Huron Speed today.
Not going to get a whole lot of of anything done today, have a few appointments to go to and then have Jiu-Jitsu this evening.
