What's a good clutch?
What do you all recommend clutch wise to hold 650rwhp or more? Currently I'm running a textralia oz700, but they are known for their chattering, so I am looking for a replacement in the near future. The textralia to me really don't have good street manners. Looking for a clutch to hold the power I have with a little room to grow and also have good street manners. Back when I installed the textralia, they were one of the top clutches. So what do yall recommend?

I had really good time with my Monster Level 3....5 years, an easy 30,000 miles, and at least 50x passes at the track including getting into the low 1.5s. Went with a Monster LT1-R for my current clutch.

I would not get the RST for anything with significant power. The reason I mentioned the RXT is that my friend has it in his C5Z for years. He beat on it a bunch when he was NA. Now for the past 1.5 years he's been at over 900rwhp with a YSi and it's still going strong. He literally has well over 500 passes on it. Multiple 1.4x 60' times. 9.4x@155mph.
All that and it really has excellent street manners.
I really didn't like the pedal pressure on my Monster Stage 3, but it never slipped.

I went from the OZ700 to Mcloud RST.
hated the OZ700, chattered it's entire life, so much I didn't want to endure any kind of chatter again, so went RST, full face organic disk.
did the the aluminum flywheel also. the weight diff was appreciated, had 18lbs steel flywheel with oz700, McLeod aluminum is 12ish, made it more fun to drive, bit more snappy.

RXT is what we install in 99% of our builds here that make good power. We stock these and offer incredible pricing on them. Feel free to shoot me a pm if you need a price with or w/o flywheel. Also stock slave cylinders, pilot bearings, and remote bleeder lines for the slave.

Unless it's either done or very high miles, I cant see 650 causing it any worries.
If you think the OZ had chatter and was not good for you...then the only real option for you is some sort of organic type plate clutch.

My textralia holds my power just fine. It's just noisy when you ease out on the clutch. Mainly noticeable on first gear take off. It was this way when it was installed. Of course I did buy the clutch used, but still had plenty of life left.

A better question would be, what is your budget for a clutch? Another question would be, is your next clutch serviceable? After owning many, high dollar clutches, I ended up with hopefully the last clutch I will ever buy/need. Pricey, yes but, compared to everything I have bought together, less. I like my Tilton triple carbon so far. Not for everyones style of driving thats for sure but,..possibly the best clutch I will see in my lifetime.
