anybody have any idea on how to purposely trigger limp mode?

Turn the boost up to 20lbs when the cars tuned for 10lbs. That's what did it for me when I was adjusting my new boost controller.

I assume you are referring to " reduced engine power ".

Do you mean based on an external input?

Disconnect the ETC or TAC circuit. :-)

That should do it, and is easy to try as well... Then just make proper electrical mods.

Throw a newer version NW 102 TB on the car... It will pull like a **** on the dyno... But once you attempt to drive on hwy..... NO GO! lol.... Ask me how I know. Ended up having to find me an older C5R NW1o2 TB...

That's what I am using ...just needed ideas on what to trigger when the gauge went into Failsafe ....I ending cutting ground to the iat sensor which then makes the car think the outside air is 10degrees and then setup a 10deg timing retard in those areas of the iat retard tables ....that should be enough to save the motor in a lean condition.
