The most awesome intake ever made for the LS engines! Group Purchase
I’m still ironing out some of the details with Shaun, but I have enough to share these masterpieces with my forum friends. Machined from solid billet using a 5 axis CNC, Shaun’s Custom Alloy intake manifolds are able to be made with the utmost consistency, detail, and accuracy. While many offer billet bases with sheet metal tops, Shaun’s Custom Alloy intakes are machined from solid billet from top to bottom, inside and out. They’re truly a work of art.
Here’s a few things that Shaun himself says about his intakes:
“These are a high end intakes that are 5 axis machined from billet to achieve the shapes that offer the best performance.
We have a flow bench and have done extensive testing - Dyno and track tested and have proven results that I guarantee will be the best intake you can get. We have tested against them all and mine is a clear winner, it's not even close.
More equal air distribution, EGT’s are consistent throughout all the cylinders.
Faster track mile per hour times.
Burst panel and fuel rails with mounting hardware are included.”
Optional anodized colors available.
We’re still discussing options, but so far I know that I’m able to offer things like:
Anodized colors
Dual injectors per cylinder
The base models I can have on your doorstep within 7-10 business days.
Right now the only reason the price is so low is because of the exchange rate between the US and Australia. If they ever catch up, it'll cost 5000.00. Take advantage of the current strength of our dollar!
The current price is 3780.00
Add 7.75% tax for Texas residents.
Per the dealer agreement, there is no flexibility in the price of this intake, but for the group purchase, I would like to offer one of the following:
An Innovate Motorsports MTX-L wideband
A 150.00 gift card
200.00 off the combined total of any of the products that I stock, such as:
A Mechman Billet Alternator
Pure copper OFC 1/0 gauge alternator bypass cable
Katech High Volume Dry Sump oil pump
Mantic or RPS Clutch
HP Tuners module
A&A kit
A set of Fuel Injector Connection injectors
Redhorse Performance fittings to complete your fuel rails, including their E85 compatible lines.
American Racing Headers
Anything from Brian Tooley Racing
East Coast Supercharging
A fuel system from Fore
The group purchase requires that we get to 5 intakes before the offer “makes”.
Now for the good stuff:

$3780.00 retail.
Which, isn't really bad. I am about to install a $3500.00($5500.00 with the direct port attached to it) wilson manifold that probably doesn't work as good...so if you get it for about that price, and it works(kinda needed for 20plus psi) it isn't all that bad. Not only that, it is a work of art.

Beautiful manifold! Just trying to justify the incredible cost in a boosted application. I am sure a full-billet intake can withstand a significant amount of boost pressure, but what about any horsepower gains or rear-port fuel distribution improvement? In a mild-boost application (maybe 15-20psi), what are the advantages of this billet intake over a Victor Jr/elbow combo or over other similar mailbox-style manifold? Wondering what types of tests were performed to crown this baby the "most awesome intake ever made". God knows it is definitely the prettiest! Thanks!

It's certainly a thing of beauty ! Some back to back tests would be awesome to see, although with the sort runner design it does look like a high rpm performer vs anything below 6k or so ?
Alloy welded fabricated intakes etc are beautiful, but the CNC stuff is equally as cool.

Does this fit under a stock C5 hood and is there any cutting required on the cowl? How much horsepower does this pick up at 20 psi compared to a stock LS7 intake?

They look nice. Seems to be 3 different intakes in your pics?
Which one is the group buy for?
Where's the data sheets showing this is better than ALL the other intakes out there? How were they flowed?
What are the runner lengths?
Come-on Bret... You know this section needs data, not just pretty pictures...
It's nice bling, but needs to be functional.

Nice looking unit... I imagine you could push a lot of air through it. But, with that much boost you might need to wave bye-bye to DBW and switch to a manual throttle. Does it have any provisions to attach a cable?
I agree... And, where did you get that 90* polished oil pressure sensor? I've not seen one before
Bling is King!
Other than a few hardcore top-dogs, who's measuring individual cylinder AFR? (maybe EGTs)... But, an ECU with individual injector control helps if they're a bit off and, if you're gonna go that far on an intake, I would expect everything else to be heavily modded. So, maybe, why not?
