Default Supercharging an 03 Z06

Hi all,

I am inheriting my dad's C5 Z06.
I love the car, I've driven it multiple times on long trips, and love it.
However, I really want to go to about 525-550 HP. I think this is probably doable with a good supercharger (thinking Kenne Bell or Procharger).

My questions are:
#1 --- Any recommendations on brands to seek out or avoid, based on quality, service, etc?

#2 --- Can an otherwise stock C5 Z06 clutch, motor, drivetrain support 550 HP?

Thanks guys, go Vettes!

Is it "plug and play", or will I need to mod any drivetrain or motor parts?

It's pretty much bolt it on and get a tune. I would recommend a methanol kit with it. It will cause a big

Brad,

A&A Corvette and ECS are both fantastic kits and will get you past your goal.

550 or so rwhp is pretty easy. Pretty soon you will get used to it and get the sickness for more lol enjoy it!

Doug,

I appreciate the offer. It won't be for a year or two, but it's sounding like ECS is the way to go!

ECS base kit, OBX Headers(cheap, make just as much power as the others), and an ECS Alky Control single nozzle. 600-625rwhp. Personally, I'd do an RXT or Mantic clutch while it's apart.

That blower will allow you to grow another 150-200hp if you want down the road. Peaked on my old car at 846-850 on 3 different dyno's with a baby cam I speced. With a big cam, 870's would be doable on pump+meth.

ECS base 1500 kit is great for a street car. That's why I have one on my current C5z and had one on C6.

Brad,
Give us a call once you are close to pulling the trigger and we'll make you a great deal on a full supercharger kit to make that thing a blast to drive and fun to show off too.

Standard is 6-rib which is good to around 700rwhp.
Then beyond that I recommend the Secondary drive and either 8 or 10 rib for the balancer and blower bracket side.

My car has been right at 650 for almost 4 years and definitely hasn't been babied, of course anything can happen anytime, But that can be said for any high performance Vehicle.
One thing that's been mentioned that is so true, You will acclimate to the power and it doesn't take long
