Default My 402 Huron Speed twin turbo build

I started out with an APS twin turbo 347. I wanted more power (as we all do), so I bought a 402 from a forum member to start my quest. Then Huron Speed came out with the new C5 twin turbo kit, so I jump on board. The kit is put together with quality parts and beautiful welds. Jon from Huron Speed has been very helpful with questions that I had. My car is an 01 Z06 with a rpm A4. I went with the Precision Billet 6766cea's with the T4 .81 housings.

what turbos you running?
For that driver side downpipe/wastegate clearance.

I was able to do a small 2mm pie cut. and change the angle a hair.
that made it clear the downpipe and block.

That was a good idea. I just dinged the down pipe enough to make it fit. Mine are 6766s.

Out with the old

In with the new

Used this contraption to hold the engine up while I worked with the cradle off.

I got the complete kit installed except the ac lines. Went to start it up and it acted as though the battery was low. Charged it , jumped it and it finally turned over a couple of times and it now acts like the starter is not lined up. I makes this god awful grinding sound when you turn the key. I will now have to take the passenger side down pipe off and see what is up with the starter.

Looks great! Great progress!
Order a truck starter, they are physically smaller, it frees up some space!

That's the one I got. The starter broke because the engine hydrolocked. I'm hoping it is the heads even though I had them tested. Not much confidence on the head guy. I have been out of town for a coupe weeks and been sick since I got back. Therefore, haven't pulled it apart yet. Hopefully get back on it soon. So disappointing.

Sorry to hear the engine is locked. That does not sound like fun at all. Good luck!
