2000 c5 111,000 miles. E85 converted. 738rwhp I'm told. 5,000 miles and 3 years on the build. Does everything below add up? Does that stock LS1 bottom end really hold up???

d1sc procharger
a&a 8 rib conversion
running 14psi
ported and polished factory heads.
comp cams 236/242 on a 112 lsa
billet fuel rails aeromotive regulator
96 lb injectors
twin walbro 255s in tank
kenne Belle bap
borla stingers
6 speed manual transmission
diamond stage 3 clutch
short shifter.

If that's on a stock LS1 bottom end I would say it is running on borrowed time. 738whp is a good bit for a stock LS1.

That was certainly my concern. I keep having people tell me it'll stand up. If it does take out the bottom end, I suppose grab a built bottom and slap the heads up on it and go again??

I would leave it and start building a ls2 shortblock. If you don't have the funds to have a new shortblock ready to go in by April or May, then I'd detune it to 650ish. IDK where your located but it's about the end of the season in Chicago. Today's high is 57*. At least if you have a motor ready and the ls1 holds on until next summer you will have a solid shortblock at the ready.

I lost my stock ls1 shortblock at 565rwhp. Piston #7 wasn't up to the task.

That makes sense. If a person was to buy this car for $11,000? How does that sound. All the right stuff is there sans the block and bottom end. What would a person need to spend to buy the built lower end done?

Seems like 11,000 would be a pretty good price for that car . The miles are a little high for me but if it is going to have a new shortblock soon then it's not that big of an issue. Shortblocks vary. I paid about $5500 for my shortblock to be built from the ground up by a reputable shop. There are lots of avenues to get a 6.0 motor in your vehicle. Plenty of guys buy a junkyard long block and have them gone through and they end up taking good power.

For me, the only reason why my car has so many performance parts on it is because I do the labor. I never understood how someone could have 50k, 60k, 70k into a C5 until I started pricing labor. Lol.

sounds fun, I'll embrace it but plan for the future. 3000 miles is proven R&D.
at 11k, the math still works if you like the car

Sound about right on numbers but 111,k miles and a stock bottom end the crank is good. But rings and pistons you are looking at a redo before long for sure IF YOU GET on it much at all and hard...

If the car is clean it sounds like a good deal. At that power level with a stock motor/trans/rear you need to accept that any of those parts can go at any time. Not familiar with the clutch. You also need the tune looked at. You can never have a car pushed to these levels without checking the tune.

Mine is sitting at 119k, been supercharged on stock internals minus cam since 27k. Incremental updates, but been living fine (625 now).

If your concerned of longevity, pulley down and enjoy it. Car will be plenty fun at 600-650.
