Default recomended valve spring upgrade for Maggie powered stock LS1

Hello Folks, any suggestions on valve spring upgrade for LS1 with a Maggie installed, and are the springs just the weak link or do the rockers and push rods need to be changed also.

Thanks for input

if you up the boost you will need seat pressure , the rockers are ok but if you replace the cam with more aggressive profile you may need hardened push rods.

TBH, Ive never bought the idea of using higher pressure springs strictly because of boost- low boost anyway. However it does seem that with boost you find yourself on the limiter f
much faster so it makes sense to change them out, especially if they have some miles on them.
Stock cam?

Stock cam for now, and yes with the Magna charger the low end torque is there which gets it up to the RPM's pretty fast.

not wanting to start a pissing contest but

2.05 intake and area = pie R ^2 so 3.14 x 1.025 ^2 = 3.298 sq in

@ 10 psi == 32.3 pounds of force opposing the spring seat pressure.

stock springs are around 120 pounds seated so you are looking at better than 20% decrease in seat pressure.

I do not know for a fact but I made sure to upgrade my springs on my 100k mile heads, YMMV.

valve spring instability is tough to diagnose on the car so IMO it is worth the few extra $ to make sure it is not a problem. but again YMMV.

good luck

Thanks folks for the input, there is only 30K miles on the vehicle so it has not been abused or driven hard as of yet!

BTR dual springs
Personally run them on applications from stock to 800rwhp+

or the psi 1511's
or Comp 26918's

We stock them all, price match and offer same day shipping.

Ended up going with the BTR dual spring setup with all new keepers and guides and GM micro polished LS1 rockers with the BTR trunion upgrade, that should be good until the bottom end/Cam gets done in the future.

Thanks for all the input folks , much appreciated!!
