Default Radiator shroud options w/Dewitts cutdown

What are you guys using in terms of a radiator shroud/beauty cover when using a dewitts cutdown radiator? I would like to find a cover to work with the dewitts, but don't won't to order one and it not work on my application.

Custom. I took the standard ecs shroud and traced it onto a sheet of aluminum and added a flange at the radiator end that I bent down to fill the gap. Then I put some weatherstrip on the flange and called it a day

You wouldn't happen to have a template would you? Where did you find the aluminum sheeting at?

I do not have the template anymore but I have my old shroud I could trace onto some cardboard for you.

I got the sheet of aluminum from home depot.

Been looking at making my own as well. What gauge aluminum are you using? My local HD only has 0.019" or 0.025".

Also, can you post some pictures of your setup?

I got he thickest aluminum they had, not sure of the thickness. I wont be able to take any pics for awhile as my car is torn apart and waiting for a new motor.

Awesome, I will check home depot. If anybody has a shroud laying around that they are not using, I would be interested in purchasing it.

i just took an ECS shroud and cut/bent it and modified it until it fit my setup but if I had better tools completely custom would have been better. then i made cardboard templates and custom built side plates in the nose also to try and help

If not using the typical radiator cover the full width across, what are you guys using to just hold the top of each side in place.

Something that mounts in the OEM location on the frame rail and holds the top of the radiator.

C6 but similar I guess. I don't use the top shroud so made some brackets. Powder coated then black after but don't have a pic handy.

Mines not nearly that fancy. I just made a strut out of some channel i had lying around that was already painted black. Bolted it to the frame.

Ok here is my attempt at one. I used 0.020" aluminum. It's pretty light, but the bends help reinforce it.

So these aftermarket radiators don't use the factory top mount to hold it in place?

Will the a&a shroud still work with the cutdown radiator?
I've been thinking about getting a different radiator because I don't like how the a&a stops the lower support and my fans are on top of the sway bar

If you are just replacing the stock radiator with a Dewitt's, then the stock shroud will work.

when you go forced induction, the stock radiator shroud has to be removed for placement of the intercoolerand intake charge piping.

In more advanced applications like mine, I've relocated my radiator down and forward by altering the radiator support. This is to fit larger intake piping to the supercharger and larger charge pipe. A custom shroud is about the only way to complete the fit.
