C5 diff upgrade
Posed a couple of times in the General section but not getting any helpful replies. I want to do the standard upgrade to a 2003 z06 diff. NOT a full tear down and ring gear/pinion rebuild as I don't want to try to learn how to set up clearances in the Corvette diff.
At this point I have the diff as well as hardened short and long shafts and carbon fiber clutch pacs from Hoosier. I need to know what other bolt-in up grade parts I can do without breaking down the ring gear. And pointer to tutorial or post showing how it is done. Here is part of my last post in General section:
"Have read the upgrade (better shafts, clutches, etc) is relatively easy compared to a full tear down and rebuild. Been working on Chevys for years just not familiar with Corvettes. Have feeler gauges and about every common hand tool known to man. I don't think much in the way of special tools is supposed to be needed for the parts upgrade. Don't have Corvette special tools but can get any that are needed. Going to post in boosted section also. Those guys don't leave anything in one piece very long.
Can anyone direct me to the parts list and/or tutorial? Sorry for long post and thanks in advance.

That's all you can you without breaking down the pinion. Did you get new Bellville washers for the clutch packs? There's a gear associated with the short shaft you will need to install the new. Read through the long post and you'll find out all you need to know.
