Default Whoops! Stripped a thread on Vortech SI

Stripped the threads where the blower bolts to the bracket. If I cant clean these threads up by chasing them, does anybody know if there is enough meat on the blower to install a helicoil or timecert? Im hoping chasing them will fix it.

Just helicoil it, fixed in 5 mins.

I helicoiled all of mine on the YSi as the aluminium seemed particularly soft

Yep, did the same thing on a YSI. Helicoil will work just fine.
