Default Replacement water pump

Morning All,

After years of faithful service my OEM water pump has sprung a leak.

Is there anything new and exciting out there I should consider for a replacement? Thought of going with an electric one, but since I take the car to HPDE's I'm not sure if that's the best route. Has anyone had any experience and can comment on their durability?

I've run a Meziere electric pump on my Procharged 427 C5 for six years without any problem. No HPDEs, but quite a few 40-150+ roll races.

i just went through this and ended up with GM OEM. keep in mind the c6 and c5 pumps are different. since the pumps are all a little different unless you want to deal with realigning it all I just went with OEM and works fine.

be sure to have your water pump pulley TIG welded on once you have it all apart since some people experience them walking off over time and cheap to have it welded.
