I'd put the battery in the trunk and put the can where the battery was.

blownbluez06 did my install and built a bracket that mounts the catch can to back of my blower bracket. Looks good I have no issues with it in that location.

I have mine behind the blower as well - I've read other threads where folks mentioned the heat in this location could cause concern, but I haven't seen any issues myself.

It really depends on the size of the can. The larger cans obviously would be more suited for the battery area.

Mine is custom with some hard lines and rubber connections but is mounted on the flip drive alternator bracket. I really like the way it turned out

I am currently adding a second catch can under my headlight. I'll take some photos tomorrow if you'd like to see it.

I run a MM can and it bolts up to my blower bracket. I can take some pics if you want.

I put my MM in front of the brake master on my A&A kit
Used a hose clamp to secure it to some plumbing.

I have a mighty mouse can mounted in front of the battery inside the battery compartment. My battery is still in the stock location. I just trimmed the plastic panel to make room for the can and hoses. I left enough to still attach the weather stripping though.
