Bought New Tires 305/35/18
All I can say is wow, what a difference from going from a 285/40/18 when most of the time I was spinning to these Nitto 555R's 305/35/18.
I also noticed its going from a 27' tires to a 26.5' tire, Car seems faster, Is this correct?
Gas mileage also seems to have suffered more.

There seems to be more stability and a smoother ride, compared to the NT05R's I had
I also noticed my gas mileage went down.

Those are drag radials, not road race tires. Same compound, different construction. These tires have a much softer sidewall, likely adding to the comfort.
the Nitto 555R-II are the road race tires, and they've been discontinued.

Definitely! I think they are still shown on their website. I used their RII tires for a few years until they were discontinued. At that point, I could get rears but the front were completely out of stock. Had to move over to Toyo R888's.
