The bottom line is, C5 brakes are pretty good from the factory. The only way to really improve on them is to spend alot of money.

Steel lines and different pads are the only things that will make a difference without breaking the bank.

done! that tryed gm race pads good hot but not in traffic . gm race rotors warped . oem did the same, looking ideas that some have tryed other then brembo grandtresmo + rim change $$$$$$$

Go and serch back for some info that Lou from LG MS put out on brakes and pads both front and rear for the vette. I don't think his price was way out of line for the set up. I may get them after I finish all the blower work and REworking I seem to have to do. good luck there...ZO6Bill :flag :auto:

Well, the mantra that I hear often chanted is more air - you need to get more/better direct cooling air onto the rotors. In the front, people either install DRM or WCC ducts, or whip up something homemade to blast the rotors with air. Lou G. is supposed to be making some spindle ducts to assist in the cooling; John Shiels has "tested" the prototype and gave it rave reviews; now everyone is just waiting for Lou to crank 'em out.... Good luck.

no disrespect intended this is forced/nitrous/turbo all have more the oem hp or want more so normal forums woudnthave the intrest in improved braking it makes sence we have the need for speed got to stop faster. what other link do you think.

Roy, no offense taken or intended, my friend. I'd suggest you inquire in the autocrossing/roadracing section, where those denizens are always doing some upgrade on their braking systems. Good luck in your quest :cheers:

Well, the best costs, simple as that. It is a little pricey (but not as pricey as some out there). I spent the money once, and I have no regrets. Good luck with your quest!

I bought these rotors from http://www.stopforce.com.
This guy is a genius he developed arotor hub for the c5/zo6 the utilizes rotors from a porshe he buys them new re zincs them and them mouts them to his pattened hub. The best part is the rotors are 3 piece for cooling and do not crack because the are cast porshe rotors not DRILLED.
Also they direct bolt on to the c5 NO caliper swap out or rim change.
i got mine on there web sight for $600.
