Default First problem with my C5 (HATCH AJAR??)

Major rain storm in Florida yesterday, got up this morning and knew there was a problem when I pressed the door open on my key remote and the horn chirped once. Got in the car started it and noticed the interior / rearview mirror lights on, glanced down at the dash and saw HATCH AJAR in the display. Anyway, I went out popped the hatch slammed it shut and still HATCH AJAR???

Well had no choice but to drop the car off at the dealer since the interior lights wouldn’t turn off and HATCH AJAR kept appearing in the display. What do you guys think this could be?

probably just an adjustment in the latch mech. I would have checked that before bringing it to the dealer.
Good Luck

I did check the latches even notice the AJAR display and interior lights turn off once when I pushed down on the hatch. They stayed off until I reached my office door, then the alarm went off and again HATCH AJAR. Latch mech adjustments appear to be fine??

Anyway, it’s too late but I’ll let you know what the dealer comes back with as the cause.
