Only way I know is to buy the GM Corvette Service Mannual for the year that you own. You can check the vendors here on the forum for a better price than GM sells them for. You may want to check www.FichtnerChevrolet.com

I'd get the factory manuals. I think Fred Beans Pontiac has them for $115 shipped, which is a good price.

I am in need of the repair manual on CD or DVD for my C5. Have looked on the internet and cannot find one. Does anyone know where to find one?

I have the hard copy manuals for 2004 and I'd have been pressed to make some of my repairs without them. The manuals on a CD may sound like a good idea, but I think it would be too confusing to actually use. Once you have the hang of how the manuals are laid out and how to get around, they are pretty simple to use. The manuals do force you to skip from one section to another when making a repair or doing research, but it's simple to bookmark your places and refer back and fourth as necessary. I think that would be a challenge with a CD based manual. Most of the Chilton's and other manuals I've seen are pretty basic and don't give you the most complete information for complex systems. Just my take on the subject.

For 2004 at least, the factory service manuals are labeled "Volume 1 of 2" and "Volume 2of 2". I believe the third volume is what GM calls a "unit repair manual", only required if you're doing internal component repair of the transmission/transaxle.

The ones I've seen turn out to be modified GM DVDs that actually cover the whole GM range from 1998-2005 or so. I bought one "2004 Corvette" and one "2005 LeSabre" (for GF's car): the DVDs are identical. They're sold on Ebay as model-specific...when you buy them, you get a username and password that unlocks the appropriate section.
The username/password turns out to be a login for a virtual Windows machine running under VMware; I suspect if you buy the official one from GM, it starts at the top-level "all cars" menu.

I bought the manuals when I bought my '98 in August '97, and the only option was to buy the 3 volume set. Mine are labelled "preliminary", so I guess the "real" ones came out a little later. Oh, and no substitute for the books - would not want to drag the PC under the car with me, which I have done with the manulsl before now. And you can scribble notes in them.
