High Temp Paint for Fiberglass????
Anybody know of any high temp paint (as in canned spray paint) specifically for fiberglass......or known to work well with fiberglass?
I've got a buddy who's restoring an early 70's Lotus and is painting his engine bay.....but he's got an area close to his header that will see high temps and is worried that "regular" high temp paint won't stick well on the fiberglass.
Any suggestions?

I have owned several Lotus Europa when I was young, including hand made headers. The equal length tube design had a tube that stuck out to the side at the rear cylinder so far that I had to cut a clearance hole for it in the inner fender well. All I ever used was Krylon semi-gloss rattle can paint and NEVER had a peeling or burning issue, even near the headers. Using high heat paint on polyester resin/glass fiber is kinds silly..If it gets hot enough to really need the high heat paint, you'll probably also fire off the polyester resin and have quite a fire going! Feel free to PM me about Lotus specific questions, sometimes I wish I still had one, but then I go for a drive in my C5 and remember how noisy and rough my Lotus days were, and how much I love my C5 at this time in my life.
