Default 1968 Wheel size fit question

I good friend of mine with a 68 is looking to put 8 inch wheels on his car with 225/70/15 tires. Has anyone had any issues with rubbing? (emer brake in rear) I know the 68 + 69's didn't have the flared fenders like the 70+ did. Any 68's out there please chime in. Don't want to buy wheels that won't work.

Thanks,

Tom

While there might be a few guys that have a Shark as well as a C5 - wouldn't you be better off posting this question on the C3 Forum?

My 82 came with 255/60s on 15x8 from the factory. I don't believe you would have rubbing issues with the 225/70s, but I would post on the C3 forum for more specific answers.

It will fit , you would be surprised what will fit in the back of a C3. You can also move the e-brake cable elsewhere on the rear trailing arm if you want a big set of tires and need additional room.
