Exterior Temp Gauge reading incorrect temp - Help?
I purchased my 99 vert about 6 weeks ago and have noticed that my exterior temp reads anywhere from 10-20 degrees lower than actual exterior temp. Is there a quick fix for this or do I have to have the dealer "fix" it?

Melting Slicks
Just buy a new external sensor - the one on my '99 used to get "stuck" at 60 when it was in the 80's. The sensor is around $10 - apparently used on many GM cars. It's located under the front left of the car - kinda hard to get at without a lift though. Sometimes the connector gets corroded due to the exposure to the elements down there.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Sounds like your temp sensor probe is going out. Easy fix and cost is very little. Just go to a dealer and get the part (may have to order it though) and then do the install yourself. The part is located right above the center air dam on the passenger side.
