3M Perfect it Rubbing Compound does wonders! [PICS]
Sunday my brother, who use to paint cars for a living, did a complete wax (the one your car gets right after it's paint job). My brother knows his stuff and he prooved it!!!
First we washed it, then used 3M Perfect it Rubbing Compound (it's like a 3000 grit sand paper, if there was such a thing) then we washed it off, then he used a 3m perfect it (machine glaze), washed and then I waxed it with my NXT. Holy crap, my car looks better then it did when it was new!!!
The pics don't do justice to how much of an improvement I actually see myself. There are some sratches I wish I took pics of before hand and after to show you but oh well.

Great job
Gotta love a clean ride like that
Hit it with some 3M Scratch and Swirl Remover for DARK COLORS ... Worked for me.

I did the same thing with my Porter Cable last week. It made a huge difference.
Here are my tips for doing this stuff...
Things you will need:
Porter Cable buffer or equiv. (You can get a variable speed buffer on Ebay for $30)
3m Buffing Compund
3m MAchine Glaze
You preferred wax
Wool buffing pad for rubbing compound
Foam pad for machine glaze and wax.
Tips for good results..
1. Practice on your windshield. You will get the hang of using the buffer this way (and you wont hurt your windshield).
2. Dont use too much pressure with the buffer.
3. Only use speed 2 or 3 on the buffer. Keep it slow until you get the hang of it.
4. Dont let the compound dry up in one spot as you are buffing.. if it starts caking up you are pushing too hard, not using enough compound, or staying in one spot too long.
5. Use the wool pad for the compound for more serious buffing and the foam pad if you are just trying to polish the car.
6. Never use the same pad with the rubbing compound and the Glaze. Use a different pad for each dfferent product.
7. Make sure you car's paint is cool to touch before beginning.
These tips should yield the same results as above!

Looks awesome. You and your brother did a fine job detailing the car.
