Bugs Love Yellow Cars
I was at a car show over the weekend that had Vettes (of coarse) along with many other makes.
I noticed all the yellow Vettes along and other yellow cars were covered with bugs (flies, mosquitos, bees, gnats, etc.)
All the other cars of different colors had no bugs at all.
I'm glad my car is green, all it attracts is dust.
I've never seen such a thing. Is this typical of yellow cars?

Back in the 1980's I had a '76 Bright Yellow Corvette that the bugs thought was a giant flower. It used to get covered with them at times. Amazing how that works. I thought bugs were attracted to scents too?

When I bought my 2004 Z06 in Millennium Yellow I completely forgot about the bug factor. Not that it would have swayed my decision in any way but when I noticed all the flies, mosquito's, bees, gnats, etc. my 1980 Camaro came to mind. It used to happen to the Camaro too. Maybe it's Chevrolet's in general....Probably Not

I've never witnessed such a thing before.
The poor guy with his yellow Z06 was trying to wax his car for the show, but spent half the time shu-ing the flys away.
Great anti-theft feature, it kept a lot of people away from the car.

"Bugs Love Yellow Cars"
Yep, both in life and death!
Seems like I'm ALWAYS using the "Bug Goo" to clean up the front, even after a drive around the block!

Long time ago I worked for Pike Trailer company when they were building all the Ryder rental trucks. After they were painted the bright yellow they would park them out front and the bees would go wild.

Hi C5Jim,
Jim, I totally feel your pain. Honestly, I believe I have seen every living (and, dead) example of the Frigging Phyla Insectiae known to humanity, on this planet. In fact, I have even seemingly seen a few unusual looking suckers that I know are not indigenous to the states, cause I have not seen ****'s that big (three heads, ten eyes, 18 antennae with RF and VH1, and all: Yes we can't stand bugs here) since I was in the jungles of Latin America. And, those you need to take a bat to, or, a freakin' steak. Geezuz Chrise!
Best Wishes,
Eden
