how do you use stabil in a saddle tank to winterize for winter
my question involves the design of the corvette gas tank. it is a saddle type that pumps fuel from one side to the other . if one puts stabil in the tank for the purpose of storage for the winter how do you know each side gets an equal amount of the stabil? is there a technique others have used that they feel guarentees that both sides will be proteced.

with about 1/3 of the tank full add half the amount you need. fill the tank another 1/3 add the balance then run the car for about 20 minutes before your final top up...

I start using it a couple of fills before I park it for the winter.

Sta-Bil to both tanks
The left tank and right tank are connected by an overflow pipe which lets the fuel run to the right tank when you fill up. The right tank has a jet pump which pumps fuel back to the left tank when ever the fuel pump is running, so if you add the sta-bil and run the car for 30 minutes or so it sould be mixed very well to both tanks.

Read the directions on the bottle i think it tells you to add the sta-bil then start the car and let it run for about 5 minutes it gets through the gas in the tank don't worry about it.

Make sure you fill up before storing.. a full tank keeps the moisture out of the tanks.

Fuel is a lot better than it used to be. If you get it out a few days just keep it topped off.
