Did you have to do all 8 or was there a few loose ones ? Thanks for your reply I have been looking everywere for an answer and yours hits the nail on the head I will try it next week when I have time off , Thanks
I held mine down with a pair of tweezers and re-soldered with a soldering gun both sides of all of them to ensure they were secure. It is the 8 black resistors with the number 241

Default Worked like a charm!

02 Z06.

I'm so glad that this thread is here. The separate site with the photos was excellent (http://www.brookins.us/accontroller/ ). The only thing that would be better would have been a list of what to do and the photos AT THE BEGINNING OF THE THREAD.

I did buy the 2% sliver solder like the one guy said. Had to find it on Ama*** (not my preference) - just no where close to go to anymore for such things.

Still, thanks a bunch to all!

This is one of the few necro threads that should never die!! It's pretty easy to fix the dim display. I did mine successfully. Works great! You don't really even need any solder. You can just sorta hold the resistors in place with a pinky, and just heat the solder joints with a small, pencil type tip soldering iron. Don't be afraid to tackle this yourself. Worst part of the job is getting the radio/console bezel out without damaging it. Smooth sailing from there!!
