Dupli-Color Red for Calipers-Does It Match Torch Red?
I'm going to finally be painting my calipers next weekend (hopefully it will be warmer than the mid 50's).
I want to paint the color on with a foam brush as opposed to spraying from a can, simply because I don't want the hassle of removing all 4 calipers in order to spray paint. Nor do I want to spend a day prepping my car just to mask it from the mist of spray paint. I want to do it with the calipers on the car.
The only caliper paint kit that has paint in a can with a lid on it in red is Dupli-Color. How close is this red to Torch Red? Is it a total mis-match? They didn't have a sample on the box to look at.
Let me know your thoughts.

Another color which is very close, if not dead on, to Torch Red is Krylon Banner Red in a small can which must be applied by brush. I used it on a Miata I had and on the Corvette and still have some left over. I bought it at Wal*Mart. It has great shine and matches my rotor hat covers which also match the Torch Red interior.

Is Krylon a high heat paint in a can and not a spray? I heard that the high heat paint is the only kind of paint you can use on calipers.

oh btw, i live on a dirt road. If you want top paint get the G2 paint when you mix it...you have about 4 hours to use it up.
