Default adjusting convertible top latch...how?

Like a dumb@$$ I put the top up on the car yesterday and drove off... without securing it to the widnshield by pulling the latches to the locked position. When I hit the gas, the top popped up. So I slowed down and secured it. Now, The latch on the drivers side is very stiff and very hard to move. Is there any way to adjust this or adjust what might be a bent roof frame?

TIA

DJ

Well, at least the seals all the way around the top are still water tight. No leaking from the windows either.

Guess, I'm gonna have to get some beer this weekend and look into straightening it out if it's possible. If I can't then the beer will make me feel better for a little while

One of my latches is harder than the other. I couldn't tell you which one at the moment. I wish there was a way to even them out.

Good thing you have a vert. Imagine an unlatched coupe.

Try some lubricant first, just to rule that out.

I jsut went out and sprayed the latch with some deep creep. It made no difference. I think I'm gonna have to fix a bent frame. Thanks all.
