Default Resetting oil life monitor?

I changed my oil myself for the first time. How do I reset the oil life monitor?

Thanks!

Turn the key to on, car being off. Push the throttle 3 times to the floor. All set.

Some cars will work by hitting and holding reset in the oil life screen of the DIC. Mine does not work this way only the gas pedal method works for me.

You may need to hold the last push about 10 seconds. On mine you do.

I can't believe no one jumped in with a torch gun to flame you over this one and the 'look in the manual' answer. (I like to ask on here, too, so I understand) Anyway, just pressing and holding mine zero's it without doing the key/pump thing.

Reading the owner's manual is just too easy. My suggestion to new 'Vette owners (actually everyone with a car) is to place the darn thing next to the crapper. Use it for reading material. You'll be AMAZED at the great information you'll get out of the manual.

Anyhow...no sense flaming the guy. Not all that neighborly.

I absolutely agree on the 'no sense flaming.' I've been flamed, that's why I mentioned that. Your idea of where to put the manual is a great idea! Except my luck I would need it for a problem on the road and my crapper reading material would be in the john.
