You probably get those .5-1 RWHP by adding a really really big wing/spoiler and putting lots and lots of Japanese aftermarket parts maker decals-whooo that's long oh and don't forget those fart cans

I would bank on about 10 rwhp with a cold air intake, but that includes stuff like the zip-tie mod. Any cold air provision is going to help, and you're splitting hairs to compare them at that point. Good luck!
It seems that the Blackwing is simply a "warm air" underhood intake, meaning your mileage may vary but don't expect much.

I would consider the Vararam a cold air intake system, but not the BlackWing, and I have one on my car (BlackWing that is).

Actually one of the vette mags did a test on the Blackwing and one other iair intakes and it showed that both intakes made around 15 or so hp when the engine was cold, but after engine got warm LOST what it gained plus a few more. That unless you plan to run with the hood off of the car you where better off running a true cold air system,( I think it was a Feb issue of either Vette or Corvette Fever, I get so many different mags sometimes I lose track). A true cold air system would be a system that pulls air directly from out side of the car like the Vara-Ram, the BPP Vortex, or the Callaway system.
