Default Corvette repair in San Jose, Ca

Hi,
Any recommendations or shops to avoid to do some repairs on my 99 FRC in the San Jose, Ca area. There are two shops in the area that say they specialize in Corvettes, but I don't know their reputation. Thanks very much!

They're not in San Jose, but they are very good and close to SJ (in Fremont). Try: http://www.synergymotorsports.net/

Also you may want to post your thread in the CF - Regional Discussion - Northern California. Lotsa local with good input.

What kind of work are you considering having done? That matters when you decide where to go. Some shops are a better match for certain types of work.

Northstar in Mountain View does excellent work. In the East Bay, Synergy would get the nod from many of us NorCal guys. Synergy is located in Fremont.

Thanks for the help! Just to answer some questions, I need my oil sender replaced (decided not to do it myself). Wheel alignment and want to change my trans and rear end fluid if needed. Just general maint. mostly, but want it done right!
thanks,
Gary

Default San Jose Shop

You should talk to Ted May at Valaya Racing. The shop is next to HP pavilion.

Both are good shops...talk to Dave Bonar at Northstar or Rick at Senergy.

Thanks for all the info and suggestions! Anybody ever use the Corvette Center in Santa Clara or Corvette Connection in San Jose/Campbell?
Thanks again!

Corvette Clinic, Corvette Express, and, Corvette Connection are great shops that specialize in older Corvette repair, modifications, and, servicing (C2-C4). However, as advised above Race Street Ralley (also works on older muscle cars), Northstar and Synergy are more slated for the C5 market. Good Luck to you!
