The reason for this post is to warn other members not to deal with this Ebay Vendor.

I had bought one (A 52mm Throtlle Body) from him for my "90 which is way different than a FLY BY WIRE TB! So I was a repeat customer. We did have constant communication over email but he would not give me a business phone number to call him so we could talk in person and iron it out, his Ebay sight said one could call!

His name is John Bishop and he Ports and Polishes Throttle Bodies, for example he takes an LS1 TB 75mm and ports it to 78mm but he does not test these on running motors to calibrate!

I recieved one and had problems from the get go with the idle shooting real high and finally coming down (It almost got my wife in an accident!) again these are not tested or calibrated on a test motor.

They say they are ready to bolt on which you can do but you will, according to him is have adjust the idle circuit screw on the bottom of the TB.

This is not the case for you cannot adjust it that much!

I talked to AL @ L.A.P.D. about htis TB and it was done wrong according to LAPD's expertise and professional hands on experience. All his (John @ XTREMEFI, Ebay)products are done this way.

I was able to recieve a partial refund for the TB from John less the shipping charge and a restocking charge. I also sent him a refundable $89.00 core charge which he is refusing to refund me. He got the 78mm TB back and agreed to give me a "FULL" refund but will not refund the $89.00.

At this point he is a "THEIF" and I will never do a business transaction with him ever!

I appoligize for the long post! It is up to you to do business with him or to totally avoid him since he RIPPED OFF a fellow forum member!

All my service will come from a total professional shop L.A.P.D. ONLY! which Al is having my TB ported and Polished as we speak!

Sorry you had so much trouble with the guy. Sometimes it pays to stick with the forum vendors and take advantage of their expertise.

I have been contemplating the idea of a scammer alert on my web page for a while, and now that I see yet another vette owner getting a raw deal I am really tempted to start one.

Maybe I will post a new thread and include a poll with it and see if there is interest in the idea and also seek input on the subject.

This is definetely not a joke and it has left a bad taste in my mouth for Vendors such as this. Other members have posted about Ebay Vendor warning's and I too have bypassed their Ebay service!
