Default Corvette Coral at St. Pete GP

Our club was the host for this years 1st ALMS race on the streets of St. Pete as part of the St. Pete GP. We worked with some great people from the NCM and Chevrolet. here are some pictures of the event.

Here is the coral;

Setup for parade laps and laps;

Oh yes those walls are a little intimidating.

The coral tent;

Our group, along with Ron Fellows and his new Z06.

Our favorite racecar;

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Is there a link (maybe with an aerial or diagram) that shows where in St. Pete the course was laid out? Just curious....

Default Great Job !

We have to be thankful the NCM Corvette Corral events are still happening, with no challengers in AMLS GT1. This pic is from Road America.

Awesome shots

How fast do you get to drive the course there?

Not fast. At the drivers meeting with the IMSA official said that we would not be going over 30 mph, and if anyone held back just so they could jump on it, the laps would end right than. We did get our three complete laps in, and I know I was able to get it to 45 a few times. Let me say though, once your on the track, those concrete walls are intimidating as I stated in the picture section, plus they look a lot closer when you are out there.

It was still a blast. I have always enjoyed the street course.
