Vettes - When One is Not Enough
Thinking of adding an additional Vette to my Chevrolet stable of 2004 Vert, and a 1965 Impala SS Convertible with 38K Miles.
Thinking of either a C1 or a 63 Split Window. Looking for a weekend driver, not a trailer queen, and don't want to pay BJ prices. Also, want to make sure that it is a solid car and no hidden damage.
I previously had a 1970 Chevelle SS396 and know that there are many "knock offs" that are being sold as the genuine article.
Are there any recommended "buyer's brokers/agents" that assist in buying process, or used Corvette dealers which can be trusted?
Thanks.

I would suggest Rogers Corvette in Orlando but they dont have any right now. I also recommend Pro Team Corvette. My dad bought his '65 Coupe from them and it is very nice.

Good luck with the quest (we should all be so lucky, having the task of locating a second vette).

Pro-Team is one of the biggest... some say they control the C1-C2 market prices... def do your homework before buying.
RogersCorvette in Orlando has a great rep for honesty but sticks to his guns on his prices... take it or leave it.
I bought my C5 from prestigecorvettes near Albany.... some people can't stand them... I had a great experience and they have plenty of loyal customers.
You are in Mass... check out CorvetteMikeNewEngland in Plymouth.
I firmly believe that anyone buying a classic Vette that does not know how to evaluate what they are buying is nuts and is waiting to get ripped off.... the opportunity for a seller to make big $$$ selling an older Vette and passing it off as something that it's not is very tempting for most guys just trying to keep the lights on and maybe make a profit. Do yourself a favor... stay away from big $$$ C1-C2's unless you know what you are buying or have a trusted friend that can help, or unless you have money to burn of course.

It's going to depend on whether or not you're looking to fix one up or your looking for a done car... as you can see we are out of control!

Recently picked up this really nice '64 roadster. Got lucky, as it was owned by my wife's cousin, and we were familiar with the total restoration of it. I hadn't planned on buying it, but couldn't stand to see someone else get it. Sometimes you just get lucky. Good luck on your hunt.

Places like Corvette Mike in MA can assist. Might want to try the Vette Net also. I've also heard that Rogers Corvettes is a good place to do business with. Best of luck with your search.
