Stock Hood plus heat extracting Louvers
I really would like to keep the stock hood, but I would also like to have better heat extraction. I've been thinking about doing something like the gen 2 Vipers have with the air duct in the front and the louvers on the side. Has anybody ever done anything like this and if so please show me some pictures. I know everyone is going to say buy an after market hood, but I really don't like any of them very much and if it is at all possible would like to stay stock. Thanks guys.

Would love to see some pictures if anyone has done it.
I am sure that in the long run it is just as easy (maybe easier) and more cost effective to just buy a new hood and get it sprayed.

I think it could look very good. If you do this, be sure to document it and post up the details.

I posted in the other thread already:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1694809
about a link from another forum where the member named FOXBAT did his own DIY "louvered hood"...:
http://www.z06vette.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101919
I found the all thread very explicit and came in contact with FOXBAT.
He sent me some pictures of his car with the modified hood on!!!
I have no clue what the specialist of aero or pro from the poly/carbonfiber have to say, but I personnaly like a lot the way it is at the end.
I host his pics, here they are:
Many thanks to FOXBAT for those cool pictures on a great DIY job...
