Sorry but I have to ask, I see the term dyno all the time and really am not sure what this is all about. :o

Is this just a vehicle performance report? Does it provide information on weak areas or ways to improve performance?

Thanks!

wow... we have a long ways to go buddy!!!
the term "dyno", refers to a dynometer. a car is backed up on to a set of drums/rollers. you then do a "pull" which is basically a run to wide open throttle (wot). this measures your cars rear wheel horsepower (rwhp) and wheel torque (rwtq). while doing this, it more importantly can measure and record how your car is running. it monitors air to fuel ratio which is very impt for highly modified cars. also, a "tuner" can use a dyno to unlock the hidden performance of your car. there are a multitude of things a dyno can do, but like its been posted above, all we generally care about is the air/fuel ratio, rwhp and rwtq. kind a like braggin rights!

hope this helps you understand a lil better. go search for a vid online somewhere that says "dyno", then you'll understand...

It was a great time even though i showed up late. I did have my car tuned last week and my numbers were Baseline 271 rwhp / 277 tq, final tune numbers 302 rwhp / 306 tq. Thanks everyone for a good showing and thanks to Clint for putting this all together. And of course thanks to Jim for the shop and all the hard work.

I counted 21 vettes there at one time, and total we estimated about 30 showed up throughout the day.

Mustang Dyno. According to Jim the tuner, DynoJet dyno will read more horsepower (10%)then the Mustang dyno. Not sure why, something due to drum workings, and it was hot.
