Great pics -- thanks! Especially liked the 1983 C4 -- had not seen it before.

Yeah that is cool story too. I always heard that there were no 83's till i seen this one. The story is (someone correct me if im wrong) that when the plant workers found out there would be no 83 models they disasembled this one and hid it in various parts of the plant so that no one would find it. After a few years they put it back together and moved it around so that no one would find it till one day during a audit it was found and placed in the museum where it has to stay because it has no VIN (not a legal car to drive on the road). It is in pretty rough shape because it sat in the rain and snow for years at the plant.
At least that is the story the tour guide told us at the museum.

That's a cool story if it's true and judging from what I hear about the people involved in the building of our cars it might just be true.

That story is in fact not true...the actual story is
"The 1983 model year was skipped due to production problems, although 44 prototype 1983 models were completed. All but one of the 44 units assembled were crushed, the 23rd 1983 prototype produced was the only one that wasn't destroyed, and it is displayed at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky"

I live in Bowling green, and love corvettes so ive read quite a lot on them.

That is just what the tour guide at the museum told us. It must have set out in the weather for a while before going to the museum because the paint does not look to good.
Ohh well sorry if i told a false story im just going off wha the tour guide said.

Thanks for the pictures. I'm hoping to do the museum delivery when I get my C6 next year. So far, I haven't been to the museum.
